CodeSampler.com goes blog!

Author Kevin

Well, if things around here look different… that’s because they are. I’ve finally decided to get off my lazy duff and upgrade my old site into a blog. This not only gives me a great excuse to use cool new techno words like blog, blog rolls, blogosphere and flux capacitor, in everyday conversation, but it allows me to post new code samples in a cool new interactive format where people can complain… um… I mean interact with each other about the code being posted.

Now, while the site undergoes this incredible metamorphosis into something even cooler, all the code from the old site can still be accessed under the Code tab of the navigation bar.

    Hi Kevin,
the site is looking amazing. I always wanted to ask what happened to the old forums for the last ~4 years? :(
Btw, still looking at the samples every now and then.

The forums were too hard to maintain. Once the spammers find you, they repeatedly fill up the forums with all kinds of spam posts that take considerable time to purge. Hopefully, it will never get that bad with a WordPress blog.

hi fantastic blog and theme. Hopefully I am not pestering you I just wanted to inquire what wordpress plugin you make use of to display the most recent comments on your blog? I really wish to do something similar for my free ipod web page yet I can’t acquire the plugin or widget for it. Thanks a lot for your time :)

Well, It’s not a plug-in, so you can’t just download something and make it work. I had to make several PHP code changes to my theme’s comments. I basically used this article as my starting place.
